Yosemite Wrecked My Dev Environment!!

Well…. not really. It just gave me a new Apache to deal with.
The latest version of the Mac OS ships with an updated version of Apache. There’s some differences in how Apache 2.4 is configured, so your carefully tweaked httpd.conf file has been renamed httpd.conf~previous and stashed away in the /etc/apache2 directory. You may need to reference it if you’ve got any massive customizations going on, if not I found this guide to have the most complete instructions on how to get Apache back up and running. If you perform all the edits described in the guide and still have issues, here’s a tip to help you get info on what’s going wrong. Run the apachectl command with no directives to get error messages and what not.
